Newborns live in front-open jhablas and bodysuits (easy changes, no over-the-head struggle). Once your boy sits and crawls (6–12 months), t-shirt and bottom sets take over. Walking age onwards, elastic-waist shorts and pants make toilet training and independent dressing easier.
Fabric first
For Indian weather, 100% cotton or high-cotton knits beat everything else —they breathe, absorb sweat and survive daily washing. Save polyester-blend party wear for occasions, with a cotton layer underneath.
Fit rules
One size of growing room is fine; two sizes means tripping hems and slipping shoulders. Check that neck ribs recover after stretching and that elastic waists don’t leave marks.
